Prof. Jiří Máca has been re-elected Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague

The current Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering CTU in Prague, prof. Ing. Jiří Máca, CSc., FEng., will continue chairing the Faculty after his appointment by the CTU Rector. He was re-elected to his post by the Faculty Academic Senate on 20^th October 2021, for a second period in office from February 2022 to January 2026.

In addition to the emphasis on the quality of instruction and, at the same time, the preservation of a friendly environment in teacher-student relationships, prof. Jiří Máca is planning to focus on getting accreditations for the remaining follow-up Master degree study programmes and the implementation of on-line tools as support for the standard face-to-face instruction. The task that he considers of key importance is to confirm the excellent Faculty evaluation at the next R&D evaluation procedure by external assessors, thus, contributing to reassuring CTU’s position in the group of research-oriented universities. His programme also includes investment projects at the Faculty – the essential one being the remodelling of Building B.
