Habilitation Proceedings

The Faculty of Civil Engineering is authorized to conduct habilitation proceeding in the following branches: 

  • Theory of Building Structures and Materials,
  • Water Management and Water Structures,
  • Geodesy and Cartography,
  • Architecture and Building Sciences and Construction Management and Engineering.

In the habilitation proceedings, the applicant’s scientific or artistic qualifications for granting the degree of associate professor are verified, mainly on the basis of the habilitation thesis and its defence, other scientific, professional or artistic works and their teaching competences and practice. The actual proceedings can take place at an institute of higher education with a valid accreditation for the habilitation proceedings in the respective field.
